It's rude to discuss someone's size
Jake went to the pediatrician today for his 4-month checkup.
He weighs 22 pounds, 5 ounces. He's 26-and-a-half inches tall, and his head is 45-and-a-half cm in circumference. I was worried he'd be too large for the infant scale and they'd make me weigh myself on the big-kids scale, with him and without him. NO, THANK YOU.
He's off the charts in all categories! Privately, he maintains that he is "petite." Even though he is almost Dr. Amy's size.
He may have to have a CT scan at 6 months to see if some of his skull sutures (I think that's where the plates of the skull meet) have grown together too soon. If they have, he'll have surgery to correct it. If they haven't, he may wear a helmet like Nathaniel did to correct his plagiocephaly (flat spot) on the right side of his head.
But we're hoping for the best!

I LOVE the look on his face in the picture on the scale. He's like, "I KNOW. I'm huge, right?"
