I've been driving Grayson's car for the last couple of weeks while he's been on vacation. (He's had the minivan so he can take the kids to school and pick them up, which saves me a lot of commuting time.)
He has XM Radio in his car, and I've learned a lot of artists' names just because they pop up on the screen ... it's made me realize how many songs I recognize without knowing who sings them. Last week as I was driving, the artist's name popped up for a song a moment before the song began: "Ne-Yo."
And I wondered, "What are they doing playing his music on THIS station? He's a cellist or something." Then the song started, and it was decidedly NOT a cello. As it turns out, I was thinking of Yo-Yo Ma.
Then yesterday an Akon song popped up ... Akon doesn't have a hyphen in his name, so I haven't been confused by him before. But his current single is "Right Now (Na Na Na)," and I can already tell that's going to be a problem for my brain. Na Na Na looks a LOT like Yo-Yo Ma when you're just glancing over at the radio display while driving.
I'll be glad to get back to my minivan, back to the sweet oblivion I knew when I wasn't alerted to every song and artist's name. Then my brain can quit working overtime on this nonsense.

K, that is hilarious. I love these tiny random tidbits of life....I have a million that I always think are blog-worthy, but never get around to posting them.
Very Funny!
Megan, keep Post-it Notes handy so you can remember all the things you want to post! I want to read them all! :)
