Oreo-e-o

So here's the thing. Somehow on Saturday while we were at the lake (I haven't managed to write about it yet, but we WERE at the lake for the weekend), I managed to take over 800 pictures on Saturday alone.

Most of them were taken in Sport Mode while the kids were riding the tube behind the boat, but I still have to go through them all to be able to decide what I want to post. Therefore, it may be October before I actually post any of them.

In the meantime, I thought I'd share a few of Jakey eating an Oreo. HE LOVES OREOS.

On this particular evening a couple of weeks ago, we were eating outside at our favorite restaurant, Firebirds. It was a really nice summer evening, not too hot, and the fans were blowing the air overhead so we stayed really comfortable. And at the end of the meal, the boys got to eat the two-pack of Oreos that came with their meals.

Jake wasted no time getting right down to business.



That two-pack wasn't going to last very long.



He gave those Oreos the attention that they deserved.



One hundred percent of his attention for no less than 10 minutes.



No crumb was left uninspected or undigested.



He was momentarily distracted from his mission by a little lizard that was crawling up the outdoor stone fireplace.



He thought its scurrying little moves were hilarious. He giggled every time it darted in or out of a crack in the stacked stones.



At one point he lost sight of it.



But then he found it again.



Coincidentally, I think this is the same face I make when I eat Oreos.


Just a great, relaxing evening, enjoying Oreos and smiles all night long ...
