Things I love: at Williams-Sonoma

Since I recently covered some of the festive Fall offerings from Pottery Barn's most recent catalog, I thought I'd do the same with Williams-Sonoma. They're not all "Fall-ish," but they all caught my eye.

In the spirit of Fall, though, I'll start with this wreath and garland, which would look GREAT on my front door and mantle.

I love the Fall colors ... the only thing I'd be concerned about is the scent. It contains marjoram, wheat, sweet annie, orange safflower, yarrow and dried lotus pods. SINCE I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ANY OF THAT IS, I have no idea if it would trigger a migraine. Therefore, I can't take the risk. But I invite you to. It is so pwetty.

I am all about trying these bowls out, though. This is one of those "Hey. I thought of that idea 15 years ago. I wish I'd done something about it back then" types of things.

They're made of red silicone and have a flexible rim that forms a spout when you squeeze them. And if that weren't enough, the bowl capacities are marked inside for quick measuring. PERFECTION. I don't even bake that often, but when I do, I think these would be wonderful for my brownie and pound cake batters.

And OK, here's something I would NEVER buy because I would NEVER use it, but I thought these were just too cute: individual pie molds shaped like apples and pumpkins!

I would never have thought to put anything other than apple or pumpkin in them, but the catalog suggested sweet OR savory fillings – from fresh fruit to meats and cheeses.

They also come in star and heart shapes.

This one cracks me up: homemade pancakes shaped like waffles. Obviously, you use it on the stovetop to make pancakes, but they come out looking like waffles ... seven three-inch-round waffled pancakes, to be exact. What makes me laugh about it is that I use regular pancake batter to make waffles (doesn't everyone?), and my wafflemaker is split into four sections. So I end up with four smaller waffles when I make them, anyway. But I love this idea. The waffle pancakes are adorable.

Lastly, this little item snagged my attention just by being what it is. It's like the automatic soap dispensers in public restrooms, but it's for your kitchen. My very favorite feature of this no-touch soap dispenser is its built-in timer with a blinking LED light that stays on for 20 seconds, so you lather long enough to free hands from germs. For someone like me, who mentally runs through "Happy Birthday" while washing her hands, then uses a paper towel to turn off the faucet and open the door to the bathroom, THIS IS NIRVANA.

Not just for Fall ... it's a soap dispenser for all seasons.

I want that soap dispenser!! As a mom of a 1st grader and toddler triplets, I am really a stickler about hand washing. This is perfect!! WS should send you some advertising revenue (come to think of it, so should PB and Target!).

Amy, I know! I am a total stickler, too. And with three boys, handwashing is a seeming pipedream. It's hard to get them to wash before meals, much less any other time. But I will keep up the good fight!

Be sure to come by tonight around 9pm (Eastern time) for the announcement so you don't miss out. I promise-it good-really really good.

They have similar dispensers (a 2-pack) at Costco right now. Trying very hard not to covet... Very hard...

I am glad to see that someone else dreams over the W-S catalog as much as I do. Loved the "green" cleaning tools in there as well. The $200 mandolin slicer is super cool - my parents have one of those.
