I've started to hear some wheezing in Jake, but I'm pretty sure it's the throat wheeze and not the lungs wheeze. Don't worry; if I feel like he's in trouble, I'll act quickly.
He's been cooped up in the house all week, just getting out in the driveway for a few minutes with Grayson on Thursday. Yesterday he pulled his shoes out of the bin and ran to the front door. HINT MUCH?
So I took him out to the front yard (shoeless ... it was actually 62 here yesterday) and we played and explored.
I know. He looks like the picture of health, right? Even when he was in the hospital last year, people were amazed at how pleasant and happy he was, given how much he was wheezing with each breath.
He's happy most of the time, but definitely fussier than usual.
Still, the smiles are plentiful, especially if I'm doing EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTS ME TO DO.
He's had so much drainage (I have three bulb syringes sitting around for quick suctions) that he's become fascinated with what comes out of his nose. Hmmm. What's THIS?
I think yesterday he was craving some Vitamin E. He wanted to sit in the sun for 20 minutes. No arguments here!
He was quiet, pensive ... he enjoyed watching cars drive by occasionally and loved it when a woman walked by with two dogs on leashes.
I caught lots of his cute expressions, but truth be told this bemused look has been the most common one over the last week.
One way I know he's still feeling rough is that he's anxious to take naps. Here's the face he made when I asked, "Are you ready for a nappy nap?" He lunged toward me with a giant smile, stood up, turned around and let himself back in the house.
That's how I would feel if someone offered ME a nap, too. I'm right there with ya, buddy.

I hope Jakey is on the mend. Bless him. It's no fun to be stuck inside on a pretty day. Where did you get the cute shirt?
Oh my, what a precious cutie pie you have! Poor little snot nose...I love his reaction to napping...I've NEVER seen that happen before, LOL
Katie, From 3Ts and Me, an etsy shop. She does the cutest shirts! I can send you the link if you want it.
Kathy, I KNOW! Only adults get that excited about naps. ;)
Actually, Katie, the direct link is in my sidebar on the right under "Obscure Places to Buy Cute Things."
Poor baby. I'm always amused when my babies want their naps. That's my sign that they aren't feeling quite right. It was warm here too yesterday and we loved being outside.
