I didn't even know I've been waiting my whole life for this, BUT I HAVE.
Heinz is moving from squeezable ketchup packets to dippable ketchup containers! You peel up from the bottom to dip:
According to the news release, "the Heinz Dip & Squeeze dual-function package gives ketchup lovers two ways to enjoy Heinz Ketchup: either peel back the lid for easy dipping, or tear off the tip to squeeze onto favorite foods."
The new package holds three times as much ketchup as the traditional packet. I take this to mean that instead of grabbing nine of them, I can now grab just three. AWESOME. And look how much easier this looks to spread on your burger!
I literally cannot WAIT until these roll out -- although apparently I have to wait until the end of this year. Read all about it here!

I'm excited about "Simply Heinz" too - made with sugar instead of HFCS.
Ryan Leigh, I considered making that part of my post, but it didn't excite me like the packaging. I am a simple gal who loves effective packaging. ;)
This is great news! Every time I go through a drive-thru and get fries I think, "I wish ketchup came in the same little dipping cups that Chick-fil-A's sauces come in." Who says wishes can't come true?
I'm so glad you've started visiting the blog, and I appreciate and enjoy your comments. (Hawaii is not for the weak of spirit, is it?!)
I am hoping they made the plastic bottom recyclable! I always feel bad with all the waste at restaurants. On a lighter note I saw this in use on the news this AM and it looks really easy and neat to use.
