If the Search function in Blogger were working on my blog, I'd be able to link to the post in which I explained that I'd bought a mudroom-like organizational piece for our kitchen. But the Search function isn't working, and since I post nearly every day and can't even remember in which MONTH I bought it, you're just going to have to go with it.
Anyway, it works really well for us. Really, it does.
I promise. I've been really happy with it and consider it a great addition to our home.
But last weekend the wheels came off the wagon. I don't know if it's baseball or Scouts or just our hectic schedule in general, but MY WORD THE MESS.
I walked in and it almost took my breath away. I mean, PEOPLE. The drawer for all those shoes is RIGHT THERE.
I feel that a refresher course is in order. I'll let you know how that goes. Ahem.

Try some kind of reward scenario..."I'm going to get to have a special treat, because I put away my shoes. I wish you had put away your shoes, so you could have a treat, too." If you don't want to do a food reward, choose something else. Rewarding yourself can sometimes be just the incentive. Besides, we don't reward ourselves often enough!

If it makes you feel any better, it's "Mud Season" here, which means that there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY not to track mud everywhere you go. That's all the ground is made of, because of the melting snow. I couldn't count the number of muddy paw prints in my house.
You just have to wait it out and get the carpet professionally cleaned in May.
