And then just a few pages away I found this floor lamp that I also just luuuuuuuurve. It would look great in my den. And it also probably wouldn't have the nine-degree tilt that my current one has. It's like my floor lamp (which is one of the screw-the-sections-together models from Hobby Lobby or somewhere) WANTS to stand up straight, but just CAN'T. It's very sad.
Now that we're having 80+ degree days in Alabama, I'm more drawn than ever to these glass drink dispensers. Every year for about the past eight years I've thought about buying them, but I haven't done it. THIS MIGHT BE MY YEAR.
Actually, last year I considered their acrylic version, which I think are equally pretty, but I kept having flashbacks to this time in college. Lisa, Honor and I used to make sweet tea in a pot on the stove at least three times a week. One day I made the tea and poured it into our plastic probably-from-Wal-Mart drink dispenser straight off the stove. (Typically I filled the dispenser up with a little ice and water, but for some reason I didn't that day.) And the dispenser sort of imploded on itself, melting into a puddle on the countertop and sending tea and sugar cascading down the cabinets onto the floor. Not one of my finer moments. ANYWAY, I'm thinking if I paid up for the PB version (which clearly doesn't have a classy summertime motif of pink watermelon wedges and black ants printed on it -- GOSH I MISS THAT OLD DISPENSER), I'd be more careful with this set.
(And look! A pedestal! Squee!)
I don't want this next item, per se, but just for the record I would love for my desk area at home to look like this. I think I could get a lot done in this bright, cheery space with my frames layered above and my tush resting on this Designing Women-approved chair.
And last but not least, I DON'T WANT THIS EITHER, I have to share with you this Chalkboard Menu that I was absolutely flabbergasted to see costs $149. PB, I have bought some overpriced items from you in my time, but I can assure you that this won't be one of them.
I read far too many shelter blogs that host DIY parties for you to trick me into paying $149 for something that any DIYer worth her salt could make for less than $5.

I, too, wish I could decorate my whole house in Pottery Barn, but I think that both of us have done a pretty good job with decorating in that style, without the unreasonable cost.
Target has amazingly-close furniture for a more affordable price (not large pieces, but smaller stuff.) I don't know why Target hasn't started its own furniture-only company by now. They could make a mint, I would think.
