I wondered if anyone would ask about the plates yesterday, and you did, so I wanted to give you the deets. I actually bought mine at the Birmingham Museum of Art gift shop several years ago, but I've seen them sporadically in different independent stores since then.
They are the BEST plates I've ever seen for kids. They're made of melamine, which is dishwasher and microwave safe (although I don't ever mike them for more than about 15 or 20 seconds), and they are completely unbreakable and unstainable. Magical for a mom of three destructo types! I've given several of them as baby gifts for boys and girls, and the moms all loved them, too.
I looked on Amazon, and they have almost the whole collection. (They sell things other than plates; we have several sets of the forks and spoons, too.) I know that $15 might seem like a lot for a plate, but it's worth it. (I have four.) I plan to keep them for my grandchildren! I remember having "special" plates and cups that I used at my grandparents' house, and that's what I want these to be for my own grandkids.

I hope if you buy any of them, you'll enjoy them as much as we do. (I live with a whole bunch of people who don't like their food to touch, so that's another bonus to these plates.) Happy eating!
This post contains links to items on Amazon.com. If you click on and buy an item, I may be compensated, but I have no idea how it works. This is the first time I've ever done this, and quite frankly I don't even know if I did it right. I just wanted to let you know.

I do love those plates. I also like the noise they make when you stack them from the dishwasher, and they fit together like perfect puzzle pieces. It's a very satisfying, clean "snap."
