But when I asked him that evening if he had smiled for the camera and shown them his dimples, he proudly squealed "YES!" And I was relieved.
I've been waiting with anticipation for a few weeks now, and his school pictures came back on Wednesday.
Woo hoo, THE SMILES WERE FINALLY HERE!

And ...
So the "smiles are here"? NOT SO MUCH.
But my kid DOES rock the heck out of posing.

He may not have given a toothy smile this time but the first close up is melting me. That kid got more than his fair share of cuteness.
I remember when he was teeny and you brought him to one of the many parties we had at work. I also remember not letting anyone else hold him. Good times.
Smile or no smile, that kid is ADORABLE!
I'm so glad his true adorable nature shines through even without the smile!
