They weren't big piles
but they were big enough
for my boys
to have one of the most fun afternoons
they've had all season.
We raked them up
to the base of the slide
and they let themselves go
time and time again.
Each landing was magnificent
and was followed by a climb back up to the top
to do it all over again
and again
and again.
It never got old.
Some of us took it a little more easy
and kicked back in the hammock for a while
because it was our prerogative.
We weren't alone in enjoying the day.
"Our dog" (our neighbors' dog) Maisy came over and kept us company.
Yep, Sunday was just about perfect. Tongues hangin' out and all.

So fun! I can't wait to see you in TWO DAYS!
Now that, looks like a fun fall afternoon! Your pics are always so nice.
I can't believe you guys can be outside playing in the leaves in short sleeves and shorts! If anyone did that right now in Boston you'd get hypothermia (or something like that)! I don't know if I should envy the lack of layers or shake my head in disbelief that you can be outside without all the extra layers!
Happy Thanksgiving!
That's awesome! I love this nice Fall weather we've been having - so nice to play outside in!!
Nikki, thanks for the compliments about my pictures! They aren't the best out there, but I hope they capture our fun.
Tamar, I know! It's still so warm here ... should be in the low 70s on Thanksgiving. I really wish there was a chill in the air, but we don't get that until Friday or Saturday.
Rachel, I agree! The weather is nice, but I really DO want a chilly Thanksgiving Day! Looks like I won't get my wish this year. :)
Does Maisy belong to the same people Moses did? She's a cutie.
Speaking of cuties, I'll be hanging out with Nick. Thanks.
Paigie, yes, Maisy belongs to the same family. So we've unofficially adopted her, too. ;) She LOVES to come play with us, but she's so hyper she scares the boys sometimes.
