This is in no way to give anyone in my family hints. I hope they've already done all their shopping. I just wanted to share with you guys some things that are on my list this year. I figure everyone can always use good ideas, even if it's sort of last-minute at this point. (This IS considered last-minute, right? Like, you're all done shopping and your presents are wrapped, right?)
This is by no means a comprehensive list ... just a sampling of some things that are on my mind.
I'm a huge John Sandford fan and have read all the books in his Lucas Davenport and Virgil Flowers series. Bad Blood is out in hardback, although I download most of the books I read onto my Kindle now, so I should buy the e-book. I can't tell you how much I love my Kindle! It was a gift from my parents for my birthday in 2009.
I already have the first three seasons of Friday Night Lights on DVD, and seasons four and five (currently airing) are on my wishlist. It may be my favorite TV show of all time, but if not, it's in my Top 5. (Others include Felicity, Everwood, Friends and Veronica Mars, probably.)
I am still not using my digital SLR to anywhere near its full potential, but having two lenses already, I can tell you that if I had unlimited funds, I'd be a total lens hound. This Canon EF 35mm f/2 wide angle lens gets good reviews and I think would be good for a lot of the shooting I do.
Right now I have a very standard, very frumpy black camera bag. The Lola from Epiphanie is on my wishlist because, well, it's STUNNING! So stylish it doesn't even look like a camera bag at all. I love the red one, but the turquoise one with lime green interior was a veryclose second.
I've gotten to know Emily A. Clark a little bit through her blog and through the first design consultation she did (for our master bedroom). I would love to get her thoughts on another few rooms in my house, so more design consultations are on my wishlist!
What's on your Christmas or Hanukkah list? Anything I need to know about?

I love that camera bag! Thanks for sharing... I'll definitely be dropping hints to my hubby!
Nice camera bag! I'd go with a Kelly Moore Classic in black - http://kellymoorebag.com/womens/the-moore-bag-3.html - thought the Epiphanie bags are nice, to. I've also thought about getting a backpack-style bag - more functional for camping and other outdoor activities. I probably should have put that on my list....
I also would love to enlist the services of a good friend for some (more) room design, shopping for accessories, etc. So great to have someone who knows me so well to help turn my house into my home!
Other stuff on my list -
Sugoi "Jackie" running tights, a fleece earband, and more technical socks
Entry fee for a New Year's Eve/Day run (it starts @ midnight)
New dinnerware - Antique Bead from Ballard Designs (thanks for the recommendation!)
Aveda Hand Relief Cream
Enough time and money to print photos and catch up my kids' scrapbooks!
I actually have the same Epiphanie bag on my list.... but Aaron is not usually good at buying things on my list so we'll see. He usually gets very random, albeit practical, things. Fun right?
I also asked for a sewing machine, but then I ordered it for myself from an Amazon deal of the day. ha! Sad part is I'll still wrap it and stick a tag on it saying "To Laura, love Aaron."
:)
That camera bag is quite lovely!
I love the camera bag, but I you know that I'm with you on the lens. I have two lenses on my wish list and a macro one is at the top. Too bad it costs as much as the camera body did. *sigh*
Y'ALL. Those camera bags are to die for. Just beautiful! I hope one of you gets one if you want one!
RLR, what the heck are technical socks? I'm too tired to Google it. ;)
I love the items on everyone's lists! And thanks to all for not saying "world peace and happiness." Because that would have made me feel like a heel.
Good picks! I would love a fancy camera bag, too. Epiphanie, Kelly Moore... doesn't matter to me!
I have considerd doing an online design consultation from someone, too. I like Emily's style. I think saw her through The Nester's site. Was it worth it?
OK, I definitely have to check into the Kelly Moore camera bags. (Thanks for the link, RLR!)
I think I emailed everyone with responses to your comments, so thank you for the feedback!
