24x24: Monday, Sept. 26, 2011
This c-section recovery is a little tough. Thanks for being patient with me! Here's a batch from Amelia's first 24 hours with us. She has already stolen our hearts!
HOLY SWELLING, BATMAN! Thank goodness most of that is gone now.
Lord willing, Amelia and I will get to go home tomorrow morning. I feel like I've been in the hospital forever!
24x24 is a series posted at totally irregular and unpredictable intervals. I invite you to participate anytime you'd like! Simply post 24 pictures from a 24-hour time period. You can just post the pictures alone, caption them, put a time stamp on each one ... whatever you'd like. If you'd like to write a 24x24 post of your own, grab the button at the top right of my blog and come back and let me know when you've published your post. I'd love to visit!

Amelia is beautiful. Looks like the boys think she is a keeper. They all looked pleased. Congratulations to you and your family
Amelia is so beautiful, and the boys look totally smitten with her. I'm so happy for y'all. Congrats, and I hope you have a super fast recovery!
First - You look GREAT...it sure doesn't look like you just gave birth! Amelia is beautiful and the pictures of the boys taking turns holding her; well, they just melt my heart. So precious. They will surely protect their little sister as she grows up. So happy for all of you!
All the pictures are either precious or wonderful. So glad that you are hanging in there and are able to connect with those of us on the outside looking in. Please don't overdo. This is coming from the voice of experience. I know it will be hard, but accept all the help that is offered. Those boys will be such good big brothers. I think it is interesting to see how each one held Amelia differently.
Gentle Hugs,
Beckie
The pics of your boys holding Amelia are wonderful! They look so excited for her to finally be here!
I know I'm not the only one to say it, but 1) you look great and 2) take it easy - we will wait! I confess that the one time I overdid it (took 3 round trips on our stairs instead of only 2/day as my dr had ordered), I could tell a difference. Not awful, but my body was definitely telling me to rest.
Congratulations once again!
Amelia is BEAUTIFUL!!
How wonderful! I loved the photos with the boys in them... they look so proud and excited! I know that the c-section recovery is painful, but at least Amelia spared you having to push and further irritate your rump!
(that's my attempt at a positive spin!)
awwww, what a little honey bear! Between her sweet little face and the boys and their dimples- that is a whole lot of cuteness going on in that room! What a fun time for your family and such an exciting (cute) addition! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
The bath pics and her sitting up - SLAYED. I love her already! Please explain to her how Aunty Paigie is going to squeeze her. Thank you.
she is beautiful. Congrats! I took your 24x24 challenge and you can look at my post on my blog in between all your restless nights.... Sleep tight and give that little cutie lots of loves!!
Congratulations on your brand new princess, she is beautiful. Get ready for years of excitement and fun with your wonderful new little doll.
