Well, adhering to my Very Diligent On-time Maternity Posting Schedule, here I am to talk to you about being 36 weeks along ... at 38 weeks.
The nursery is about 90 percent complete, and I hope to share pictures with you soon. I should be able to finish it up this weekend after my friend Honor brings me the Ikea frames she drove to Atlanta to buy for me ... then took home to Chattanooga and is driving to Birmingham for me this Saturday. I have the kindest friends!
Other than getting up what seems like every hour throughout the night to pee and chomp a handful of Tums, I'm doing pretty well.
The biggest news at my last OB visit was that if Amelia isn't here by Monday the 26th, I have an induction scheduled for that morning. It's not my idea ... I've never been induced and don't feel like I'll need it this time, but my OB is on call that day and really wants to do the delivery if he can. (He's delivered two of our three so far.)
I hope she comes on her own before then, but if not, that will be the day!
In other news, I have bangs again. I've had them most of my adult life, but somehow I accidentally grew them out over the last year. They had grown out past chin-length, but the wispies on my forehead were driving me crazy, so my hairdresser cut bangs for me a couple of weeks ago.
Hardly seems worth mentioning, but I'm sure you'll all notice when I post pictures from the hospital and you see bangs. BANGS! You will say. And you will wonder why I hadn't mentioned it, since bangs are a big deal to some people. Which is why I am giving you this Breaking News a couple of weeks after it happened.

So excited for you and your new addition!!! You look great!
Doesn't seem that time has flown by in some respects, but gone so slowly when it comes to getting all the things ready for little Amelia. Would you email me your mailing address.(I hope you trust me after all this time.) I would like to send you a little something when Amelia makes her debut. Hoping that you have your bag packed and have the boys' plan in place. Sending gentle, excited hugs.
Beckie
I'm the sort who would do an entire blog series on bangs.
Post #1: The Post About Cowlicks Hating Bangs.
So always mention it.
