Friends, I am home. I can't express in words how wonderful it is to be here and how grateful I am for modern medicine.
When I'm able to recount the story for you in proper detail, I will. I hope it will just be a few days from now. Tonight, however, I need to get some rest and get used to the New Normal around here.
You'll never know how much your e-mails, Comments and Tweets have buoyed my spirits over the past week. You are a very special group of people, and I've missed interacting with you.
Again, thank you so much. Now go hug your people and tell them how much you love them.

I've been following your blog for a while now (I found you kind of circuitously)but have never written in before. I am doing so now to say that while I'm really very glad that you're on the mend and back with your newly expanded family, I'm also cursing you a little bit because I've just made that peanut butter chocolate chip pound cake you posted a while back. It's not even out of the oven yet, but the batter is divine. I'm holding you responsible for the few (highly enjoyable) pounds that will surely follow! :)
