THAT'S the last time I make a list

In one of life's great ironic twists, here is what has happened since I posted the list of things that had gone wrong in our lives over the last three weeks (my most recent post):

1. When we got home from my uncle's house on Easter night, our hot water heater had sprung a leak and partially flooded our carpeted basement.
2. When I went to turn the light off in the den and go to bed later that night, I heard a sizzling sound and smelled smoke. It scared me so badly that I woke Grayson up, terrified that the house was going to burn down while we were sleeping. (We taped the lightswitch down and have to call an electrician.)
3. I woke up at 3 a.m. yesterday and started vomiting, and threw up almost constantly until after noon. I haven't been that violently ill since I was pregnant with Nathaniel 10 years ago. I got so dehydrated that I couldn't get my legs to work overnight last night, and I pooped myself in the bed. And was so exhausted that I fell back asleep in it. Yes, you read that right.
4. Yesterday afternoon Grayson came home to meet the TV repairman, since I couldn't get out of bed. Turns out, the part he ordered didn't fix the TV, and it will cost more than $500 to repair. No can do.

So,  Internet, I may or may not be taking a couple of days off here. I'm going back to work today because I feel like I have to, but I don't know if I'll make it all day. Quite frankly, I just want to crawl in a hole and sleep for 20 hours or so.
