Welcome to www.grass-stains.com.
I guess I figured that after more than five years, this isn't just going to "rub off." I'm probably sticking it out for the long haul. And every time I have to type my URL into a field online or write it down (which is more often than you'd think), www.katandgray.blogspot.com takes a sweet forever. So I count this as an improvement.
Actually, it's something I've been thinking about doing for a few years, but grassstains.com wasn't available, and the more I thought about it, the less I wanted it. In case any of you are thinking about starting a blog, let me give you this free piece of counsel: Don't name it something with three consecutive identical letters in the title. LOOKS AWKWARD.
The only thing I'm bummed about -- and I'm REALLY bummed about this -- is that it appears that I've lost all of my Comments from before the switch. Really? Five years of Comments? Yes, looks like it, at this point. I've got a question in to my designer to see if she has any ideas about how to get them back, because even my posts that had thousands of views are now Commentless.
Would you like to know if you need to re-subscribe to my RSS Feed or my email list to continue to receive my titillating daily posts as normal? I would love to be able to answer those questions for you, but of course I did no actual research on this before I plunged into this. (Please see previous paragraph about losing all of my Comments.)
My advice would be to see if at some point you stop seeing posts from me in your feed reader or emailbox, and if you do, shoot me an email. Because unless I died, it's highly unlikely that I stopped posting and far more likely that my conversion to a new URL screwed everything up.
In the meantime, I'll try to Google up some information on this here situation and clear it up before it becomes an issue. And by "Google," I mean ask some IRL friends who might know, please be waiting for my phone calls and/or texts Jamie and Rachel.
Have a great day, y'all.
