We got there when it opened, so for the first half hour or so, we had it to ourselves ... We took 10 kids, and they had a blast. Amelia loved jumping with Anna Kate and Ali ...
While the boys ran wild on the other side of the room.
They were in motion and in the air 100 percent of the time we were there.
Every moment.
Because the kids were so entertained, it gave the adults a rare chance to visit. Heather, Grayson, Tiffany and I got to talk, which is a rarity!
And it was so much fun having Rudy join us for the morning ... we were staying at Rudy's (Grayson's dad's) condo, but this gave everyone else a chance to get to spend time with him, too.
Yes, lots of visiting with loved ones, catching up with what they'd been up to, personal conversations ...
All made possible by the wonders of attractions such as dodgeball. I think dodgeball was the kids' absolute favorite.
Every time they were called "out," they rushed outside the court to wait in line to play again.
When our hour was up ("ALREADY? NO WAY! WE NEED MORE TIME. THIS ISN'T FAIR! WE DON'T WANT TO LEAVE YET."), we drove downtown for barbecue. Kind of our last hurrah for the weekend. All the kids except Amelia sat at the kids' table ... She's "too big" for that. She prefers the grown-up table, you know.
After we all exchanged hugs, it was time for us to get on the road home. We drove as far as Atlanta on Saturday night, chasing the sunset a good part of the way while we tried (unsuccessfully) to find The Most Exciting Iron Bowl in History on the radio as we drove.
Can't wait to see everyone again next year.
